I'm a librarian and children's literature specialist by day, so I have to read a lot of books for children and teens for my job, which I love. I also write and lecture a lot about children's literature. My favorite children's book is Harriet the Spy. My favorite adult book is Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World.

I'm an avid collector of J5-era records and memorabilia. Other than the J5 and MJJ, I like a lot of early Motown music and classic jazz from the '30s and '40s. For TV shows, I enjoy Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Wire, Treme and Mad Men.
