Hello:

We've been toying around with the idea of giving MJPC a new "look" via skins that members can choose. Raisa came up with a really good idea to do one for the J5 era, and I wanted to open this up to the members to come up with some ideas on themes for skins that we could add to our site.

Some examples...
1) We could do custom banners based on era, (ie: such as J5 era). Raisa's idea was to do something along this theme: http://991.com/newGa...25th-253465.jpg

2) We could do one based on "Solo Tours" with a custom banner that has pics from the Bad, Dangerous, and History Tours.

3) We could select various themes based on a video, such as...how about a very "dark" one with "Thriller" video graphics--black background with the "Thriller" splattered blood font and scenes from the video?!

What are YOUR ideas?? Let us know what you would like to see, and maybe we will do it!! Please be as specific as you can, including COLOR, THEME, GRAPHICS, etc. And if you have sample graphics to describe what you mean, please post them!!

I like the ideas. The Thriller idea sounds sooooooo good.

If any members have ideas of what they would like to see as well let us know. Don't forget to post pics of your ideas. BE SPECIFIC.

Okay, for the "Thriller video" theme, this is what I see.

Completely black background for the whole skin.

Top banner will be with the graveyard in the background, something like this: http://mjphotoscolle...ge/6188-15ajpg/ (with the MJ on the right cropped out).

On the right of the banner, color pic of MJ with the ghouls like this:

Underneath this main graphic would be our site/domain name in the red dripping blood "Thriller" style. This will be the only text that appears on the page.

Other images from the video can be superimposed over the graveyard to add some color contrast. Like this: http://mjphotoscolle.../5545-thriller/ or this: http://mjphotoscolle.../2441-01mn9png/

For the J5 era skin, like I said, a skin inspired by this box set's cover would be cool.

But I have no idea how these skins are made so I don't know if this would be possible.
I don't know if the wholde background in the box' pattern would look good, maybe it would be too much, I can't really imagin how it would look.

For the banner, I'd use colorfull, fun pictures like these:

Thriller banner and "meshed up" skin. At the top where it says user cp, members etc I made those myself.

BTW I found 2 black skin but idk if others like them. If we could get rid of that sidebar on the left this skin could work.

Hi Tessa: I really like it(!), except I'm not happy with the font. I'm hoping we an get closer to the famous "Thriller blood dripping" font that we see at the very beginning of the Thriller video. The attached cover of the VHS gives you a bit of an idea of the font, but without the "dripping" that I think would look REALLY cool! Ron
