Chapter 1
(August 15, 1976)
Humming and steam was filling the bathroom. There, shows the figure of a beautiful Afro-American 17 year-old, enjoying his nice, hot shower. He was shampooing his big, curly black hair, that has been an afro deflated. He smiled, knowing how relaxed he feels right now. He continued to hum as he began to rinse off the remaining suds out of his hair. He turns off the faucet, steps out of his shower, and reaches for the towel on the rack to wrap around his waist. Then, he took a deep breath in satisfaction. Later, he spent at least 27 minutes blow drying his afro, and getting out his pick to bring it back into it's normal shape. After that task was done, he took the time observing the looks of his reflection, on his bathroom mirror, but first wiping away some of the fog. He wasn't too fond on what he was seeing. All around his brown mocha colored face, plastered seborrhea and comedones. The hot water, from showering, made his red scales blister bright. The pimples were just as irritating. He would have the urge to pop just one off his face, but it would only lead him to an infection. Other than the acne, there's one thing on his face that he always notices first when looking into his reflection: his nose. He hated it's shape, he hated it's size. His brothers sometimes teased him about it, while he would get emotionally abused by his father with hurtful insults. He despises the way he looks. He is an entertainer/performer; Performing every 24.7, his fans would shout his name and reach out for him, and rush into stores to get the newly released albums to hear his childlike voice work the magic. He always wore makeup, to hide the ugly disaster from his fans. He thinks he's as ugly as he is, and his fans only love him for his talent. The person you're being introduced right now is "the" Michael Jackson of the Jacksons, living the hectic times in his late teen years. He just can't fathom on his true beauty he really has.
After his personal hygienes were completed, he reached into his drawers for his pajamas, getting himself dressed for bed. He sets his alarm clock at just the right hour to wake up for rehearsals and practice. But before going to sleep, he wanted to pray to Jehovah for a miracle. Michael has been suffering through a deep depression among the living world out there. It was only a few months since Joseph, his manager/father, got him and his brothers the contract for CBS, which means they had to move out of Motown. They were promised that they'd get the power to control song writing on their own, which is what Michael wanted to express. Unfortunately, Motown has been like a part of their lives, and it took awhile for the boys to get use to being at a new record company. All brothers signed, except for one of Michael's closet bros, Jermaine Jackson. Jermaine explained to Michael that they all should put aside their differences, and Berry Gordy said there won't be a possible future for him and his wife Hazel if he doesn't stay. Officially, leaving Motown and Jermaine was a difficult decision for Michael to give up. He always looked up to Jermaine, and always looked at him to his left while he's on stage. Their relationship got a little off when Jermaine got married. Also, the same feeling when his other brothers got married and moved out. Janet is the only good surviving sibling he has around. Things were more simpler when he was a kid during the Jackson 5ive times. Michael is all lonely. He feels that getting himself his own lover, and starting a family, would make his life more accurate, since that's what most of his siblings had done. Janet, LaToya, and Randy were all single and didn't mind, but still, he wanted someone to love. Anyone would do. On the 29th of August, he'll be 18. He's growing up so fast, and farther away from having an average childhood. Finally, he stops praying and crawled into his king-sized bed. At times like this, Michael would shed tears until he's tired.
