Michael’s Day by Army of L.O.V.E
We are proposing a worldwide mobilization of Michael Jackson's fans . It’ll be on August 29, Sunday. The most beautiful tribute that an artist could have. Result of individual efforts to do this world a better place. We’ll show the world what we learned with our idol: take care of the children (they are our future), take care of our animals, take care of our planet and take care of each other, respecting and understanding their needs. A great message of LOVE to the whole world. We’ll celebrate Michael's LIFE and his message.
The idea is to: promote social and enviromental actions, in the whole world, on this day and all of them will take the same message. We invited you fan, or admirer of Michael Jackson, no matter how long you're a fan, and no matter if you believe that he is alive or dead. This day, all the fans will be one! We all have something that connects us, which is much greater. We’ll draw the attention of all the press, they can’t ignore us. We will do our best to have it in as many places and in case of large cities, more than one action.
We are calling this day of ‘’Michael's Day’’, and we will be the MJ’s Army of LOVE. On twitter we created the movement, "August 29th is Michael's Day-The Worldwide mobilization day for making the change in the World!" and "Please RT # MichaelsDay August 29th Will Be The Day to Change the World," and we’ll use three following tags: MichaelsDay #, #MakeTheChange or #Aug29.
We will create a multilingual website to be the meeting point for organizing this event. This site will be used by everyone, no matter in what part of the world they are. We also have a forum for discussions that is linked to this website. Furthermore, we’ll have Orkut, Facebook and videos on Youtube for disclosure our project.
We'll also create a pamphlet that will be the same one used all around the world, we’ll only change the language according to each country.
We'll also create a flyer, it has to be the same used throughout the world, only changing the language to follow along with the donations and identify that the donation is part of the movement.
Let us act now! Let's spread the idea and begin to organize the actions.
Below are some suggestions for this day:
- Visit to institutions of sick children, bringing gifts for them.
- Taking children from an orphanage (with the responsibles permission, of course) to some amusement park
- Promoting children's competitions with themes of enviromental education, such as knowing how to separate garbage for recycling, saving water and reducing other waste at home, planting trees, and teach how to take care of them.
- Who have ever had a pet or donate accessories (clothes, blanket) or even buy a packet of food, and donate to a shelter for street animals.
- Dance workshops to teach people how to dance MJ’s songs.
- Places which we suggest to receive the donations: nursing homes, hospitals or homes that houses the sick and needy children and shelters for animals.
- For who lives at the beach, a group of people to collect the garbage and teach about the danger of the dirt in the beaches.
For people who live somewhere where there aren’t shares of Mj Army Of Love and wish to become part of the project, may send their contribution to a person or a group of people who will visit an institution, and the donation will follow with the pamphlet identifying our mobilization.

Hi Leninha,
that's sounds like a very good and big project.
I wish you good luck with it and hope many fans will join you in paying tribute to Michael by doing what was his greatest concern: helping people and the environment.
