For those who don't know, there is a group (well, two groups now) that get together every month and visit Holly Terrace in Forest Lawn, Glendale where Michael is interred. We aren't allowed to actually go into the mausoleum as that's for family only but it's wonderful to be there and have the support of the other fans. This is happening every month on the 3rd (since Michael was buried on the 3rd) at 1:30 PM til around 6 PM and all are welcome to join us. Obviously, you may visit in your own time, we don't have exclusive visitation rights or anything but again, being with the other fans and having their support is part of the experience. To learn more, you can visit their facebook page at:
The Official Michael Jackson Fans of Southern California
Further information is given in the Events tab. There are several happenings and get-togethers in Southern California besides the regular visits at Forest Lawn including vigils at MJ's star in Hollywood, representing MJ at Murray's June 14th court date (and all to come), Disneyland visits with the group, Thrill the World, and a multitude of smaller events that don't get advertised. Draskou, I really love what you all are doing for Michael and his fans around the world.
Every month I look at all the beautiful pictures of your visit to Forest Lawn with all those beautiful gifts from MJs fans.
I really hope that some day in the future I will be able to go to Forest Lawn myself because I really feel it would give me strength to cope better with Michael's passing. Until then, I thankfully take the chance to send gifts to the fans of Southern California so that you can bring them to Forest Lawn.
Just shortly wanted to say this.
Thank you so much!!!

We are exceptionally lucky to be located where we are, it's only a chance of birth and nothing else that gives me proximation when so many millions of others are so far away. Hopefully, someday you can be here and and say your peace to him. It's the most lovely spot, so peaceful. The view is of the rolling hills of Glendale and it faces East, a spot Michael would be happy to sit and look out on in a time of contemplation. Thank you for sending your gifts to Holly Terrace, the family knows about them and Michael surely knows as well. Not only this, it really warms the hearts of Heidi, Erin, and all the members of MJFSC to see the love that people from around the world have for this man. Thank you for bringing a smile to all our faces

Hi Draskou,
Thank you for visiting to Forest Lawn every month on behalf of fans from all around the world. I didn't know about your activity so I'm so glad to know that. I'm far away from the US(I live in Japan), so I find it hard to visit there soon, but I'd like to be there someday.
That place seems very good place for him. But....I cannot accept Michael is there yet. I still try to ignore that day in June somewhere inside. I never deny your activity. It's another thing. However, I think the day will come when I would accept all.
Thank you for being there for him
Sending much love your & Michael's way...xxx

Dorothy, do you have any information regarding the rumours that Forest Lawn won't allow fans to gather in front of Holly Terrace anymore? Did you fans get any explanation, why?

Dorothy may have more information, but I believe it is because people are taking pictures which is not allowed and also people other than family or on the list are somehow getting in and the pictures are making it to the tabloids, i.e., TMZ.
When I was there in April, some of the visitors were trying to get inside while the security guards were letting other people into Holly Terrace. He (security) threatened us and told us that they have been very patient with us but that this all could be handled differently if people did not respect the rules of FL.
Anyway, we could stay for hours before but I guess they are imposing a NO LOITERING rule now. Sad... We just want to peacefully gather, pray, and remember the time.

Sorry I've been away so long and didn't respond to this earlier! As Billie Jean said, there were some folks who snuck in and one of them sold their pictures to TMZ. As a result, Forest Lawn instilled a no-terrace-loitering rule. We had previously thought it to mean that we were not allowed on the terrace at all, that we had to stand on the grass below, and that gifts, letters, and flowers weren't even going to be allowed to be left there. Well, that is not so. The June visit was surprising in that we were allowed in the area next to the terrace, we could go up individually or in small groups to visit the terrace and say "hello" to Michael (though we had to come back down after a couple of minutes), and we were allowed to lay our gifts and flowers down on the terrace as usual. Security was most gracious, though watchful. You may have heard that Randy Jackson has had some negotiations with Forest Lawn and they have decided to let fans back on the terrace (as I interpret the results) at least for the 25th of June. Security has been preparing for the day for a while now, you can believe it

Yes, I do believe that this will be something they haven't witnessed before. Do you know whether they will let the press enter the areas the fans are allowed to enter? The family will be there on June 25th, so the media attention will be very high. I just hope this doesn't result in some chaos situation with the fans being the ones who will suffer from security decisions.
Thank you for the update, Dorothy
